Erin & Steven The Loft at Congress

Well we ended 2020 on a high note!

Elegant Events by Michalea was so happy to work with Erin & Steven to help make their wedding day dreams come to life. With everything that was going on last year, this couple wanted to have a party and party is what we did. When I first talked with Erin, she had wanted to have an outdoor tent wedding at an AirBnB. Erin and Steven are from Michigan and wanted to have a Florida wedding. Everything was going smooth when the bride received a call from the owner who decided they didn’t want any celebration happening at the property and they decided they wanted to stay at their home during the week of the wedding. No worries, the bride called me and told me what happened, but not to worry I found another venue. Awesome right!

We were so lucky to have found The Loft at Congress in Boca Raton, FL. We met with Wes and the bride and her girlfriends fell in love with the place. The Loft is located in an industrial park, but once you step inside it’s a beautiful venue. The Loft was so helpful in assisting us and making us aware of their safety practices. We used 60 inch round tables and sat guests together that were from the same households/family. We only set 8 guests per table and social distancing was practiced. All of the vendors wore masks, the dinner plates were placed on the buffet table behind plexi glass. All of the guests wore mask while moving about the venue and hand sanitizer stations were placed throughout.

The style of the bride and groom was simple but elegant. The colors were navy blue, champagne, and cream. We had a simple but delicious menu of Grilled Jerk chicken, Praline Pecan Salmon, Smoked Turkey Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese, Strawberry Caesar Salad and Rolls. Let’s not forget the beautiful cake and dessert table. The bride and groom requested to have a party and a party is what they had. The DJ kept the bride and groom alone with their guests on the dance floor.
