Every wedding begins with a love story, so why not tell your guests all about how you fell in love. When it comes to the design and detail of your wedding
Some questions to ask yourselves?
How/where did you meet?
What are some of you favorite foods?
Who you are as a couple?
Fun things to do, places you’ve traveled?
If you are a couple who loves to travel, then you could name each table after each place you have visited. You also have a picture put in a frame as part of the decor. Another cool idea is to incorporate your favorite cities into your seating chart.
You and your fiancé may like your grandmother’s homemade rolls or you tried something new and love it. Maybe you both have a love for Greek food. If you met at Starbucks or at a Taco stand, why not have a decked out coffee bar or a taco food truck. Don’t be afraid to talk with your caterer about incorporating some memorable foods into your menu.
Here is one idea that’s so cute and inexpensive. Put a few fun Facts on the cocktail napkins. This will give your guests something to talk about during cocktail hour. This will also let your guests know more about your deep connection.
Your wedding program can serve for more than one purpose. You can write a short summary of your love story. Reading about how you made it to the altar is a great way to entertain your guests while they wait for the ceremony to begin.
If you’re having a micro wedding you can play a game. One game is the Shoe Game. With this game the bride and groom sit back to back, with each holding one of their shoes and one of the spouse’s shoes. You have someone ask a question and the answer is either the bride and groom and the couple answers by holding up the shoe of that person. This is sure to bring lots of laughs.
Choose a venue that was a special location that was involved in your love story. It could be a place where you met, the place where you knew it was love, or where the proposal happened. You can also chose a venue where you spend a lot of time together. Make sure to mark the exact spot any special moments happened for your guests to see.
